Uxmal (Yucatec Maya: Ooxmaal) is an incredible ancient Maya city founded in 700 A.D. It is considered one of the most important archaeological sites of the Maya culture, along with Chichen Itza (see our gallery). It is also considered one of the most representative of the Mayan's architectural style of the region. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
